Is justice for sale in our state courts? Do campaign contributions influence state court decisions? A study completed by an Emory law professor, Joanna Shepherd, concluded that it does. The main point of her report is as follows:

"The more campaign contributions from business interests the justices receive, the more likely they are to vote for business litigants when they appear before them in court."
