A malicious prosecution case brought by two men who spent 26 years in prison after being wrongfully convicted of a murder they did not commit has settled for $12 million.  Prosecutors generally enjoy complete immunity for actions they take as prosecutors but the Supreme Court indicated that the immunity would not apply to fabrication of evidence and other misconduct when the case was argued last year.
