Sen. John McCain questions whether the $200,000 fine that Halliburton has agreed to plead as part of a plea deal is big enough to deter corporate officials and employees from destroying evidence. Halliburton agreed to the fine as part of plea bargain related to its role in the BP Deepwater Horizon oil well disaster in 2010 that resulted in the discharge of millions of barrels of crude oil into the Gulf of Mexico.
