A sprinkler installer in southeast Texas has sued his employer, American Fire Protection Group, for unpaid overtime.  David Wilson claims in his suit that he regularly worked more than 40 hours a week but was not paid overtime as required by the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. He seeks his unpaid overtime, liquidated damages, interest and attorneys fees in his suit.

A basic requirement of both federal and Kentucky state law is that nonexempt employees must be paid overtime for all time worked beyond 40 hours in a workweek.
