The Minnesota Supreme Court vacated a $1 million jury verdict against former University of Kentucky basketball coach Tubby Smith in a case claiming that he misled a prospective assistant coach that he had final authority to hire the assistant.  Jimmy Williams claimed that he left his assistant coaching job at Oklahoma State University based on Smith's promise of an assistant's job at the University of Minnesota.  Read more in the Minneapolis Star-Tribune: Supreme Court Throws Out Million-Dollar Award Over Gophers Job.
