The parents of a former Tennessee State football player, Wayne Jones III, a walk-on defensive tackle, claim in a wrongful death lawsuit that the failure of coaches and trainers to provide timely and adequate care for their son caused his death.  Mr. Jones collapsed in cardiac arrest on the practice field following non-contact drills last November. The suit alleges that no external defibrillator was available on the field, although NCAA rules require one be present.
