Cigna Health Insurance Sued for Sex Discrimination by Female Managers

Female managers have filed a "glass ceiling" sex discrimination lawsuit against Cigna insurance company. Bretta Karp, a 14 year employee, claims in the suit that Cigna blocks women from promotions into its highest management positions by evaluating them on a bell curve, that she was denied a promotion because the company considered her "too aggressive" and that her largest sales territories were taken away when she complained.  The suit seeks class action status and was filed in federal district court in Massachusetts.
