Shift Supervisors File Class Action Suit for Unpaid Overtime

Shift supervisors for TJX Companies, the corporate parent of T.J. Maxx, Marshall's and other retail stores, have filed a class action lawsuit in Nevada claiming that they were misclassified as exempt from overtime in violation of the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and Nevada state law.  Other similar suits are pending against TJX in California, Texas and New York.

Misclassification of this sort has been the basis for a number of other suits as previously reported: AT&T Managers' Class Action for Unpaid Overtime Moves ForwardCable Installer Claims Was Misclassified as Independent Contractor Sues for Overtime,  Misclassified Tech Workers Settle Overtime Suit for $1.45 Million.
