An age discrimination victim has earned a $992,500 verdict reports the El Paso Times, "Jury Has Awarded Almost $1 Million In Age Discrimination Case."  Fred Jackson claimed that Host International, Inc. fired him because of his age, 57, in 2007. Included among his evidence was the following:

  • a statement by his supervisor that he had a good salary "for a person your age"

  • his supervisor also told him that the higher salaries of younger employees were intended to attract "younger, talented people"
