A sexual harassment suit by a former employee of the city of Cicero, Illinois has settled her sexual harassment lawsuit for $500,000. Sharon Starzky claimed that Town President Larry Dominick sexually harassed her when she worked as a director of the town's animal shelter. The alleged sexual harassment was said to have included explicit comments, groping and inappropriate touching. Starzky also claims that she was fired in retaliation for filing suit over the sexual harassment, but that claim was not part of the settlement.

Sexual harassment that is severe or pervasive and has the effect of altering the terms and conditions of the workplace violates both federal and Kentucky law. It is also a violation of federal and Kentucky law to retaliate against an employee who makes a good-faith report or complaint of sexual harassment.
