FedEx has settled a hiring discrimination case for $3 million; it will also, as part of the settlement, revamp its hiring process with an eye toward eliminating the kind of discrimination at issue in the case.  A federal investigation found that FedEx engaged in race, national origin and/or gender discrimination against 21,635 job applicants at various facilities in 15 different states.  Also as part of the settlement FedEx will offer jobs to 1,703 of these applicants as jobs become open.
