A former paramedic, Robert Shackelford, who was fired last year has filed a wrongful termination lawsuit claiming that he was fired after complaining about workplace harassment by the county's emergency services director. TShackelford claims he was fired after filing the workplace harassment complaint, re-hired and then fired again. He was not given a chance for appeal and no explanation as to his termination. The lawsuit seeks $34,417 in damages as well as a positive job reference.
