Long-term female employees of Wal-Mart have filed a class-action gender discrimination suit against the retailer in Tennessee.  Cheryl Phipps, Bobbi Milner and Shawn Gibbons claim in the lawsuit that Wal-Mart committed gender discrimination by denying women:

  • fair and equal pay in hourly and co-management positions
  • unequal opportunities for women to be promoted

The lawsuit seeks to include all women who worked for Wal-Mart in its Region 43 since 1998.
