An operating room (OR) nurse has filed a whistleblower suit claiming that she was wrongfully terminated for reporting that nurses were being required to perform doctors' duties.  Daphne Sirios, an OR nurse at Portsmouth (NH) Regional Ambulatory Surgical Center, which is owned by Hospital Corporation of America, reported to a hospital risk manager that nurses were being required to activate an X-ray machine, contrary to nursing regulations, and was fired a few days later. Sirios claims that she was fired in retaliation for her whistleblowing.
