A lawsuit including claims of sex and race discrimination by a former employee at a CVS drugstore has been settled for $55,000. The employee, Marcia Guaman, claimed race and sex discrimination based on the following occurrences: (1) she was given harder jobs and less assistance than her white or male colleagues; (2) she was unfairly disciplined for higher performance scores that her colleagues; and, (3) she was denied same opportunity to take vacation as her white or male colleagues.
