The wealthiest Burger King franchisee has reached a settlement in a 14-year long sexual harassment case. Carrols Restaurant Group Inc. will pay $2.5 million to 88 former employees and one current employee. In 1998, an employee filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which sparked an investigation involving 90,000 Carrols' employees. In 2005, the EEOC identified 511 women that they believe were sexually harassed. As court litigation proceeded, that number dropped to 89.
