Continuing a downward trend over the last few years only 55.9% of American workers between the ages of 26 and 64 got their health insurance through their job in 2011 according to Politico.com, Poll: Fewer Insured Through Work. In 2008, 61.6% of workers in this age group got their health insurance through their employment.
