Two whistleblowers will be permitted to testify in a trial of a case claiming that State Farm defrauded the government in the handling of claims arising from Hurricane Katrina.  The whistleblowers, Kerri and Cori Rigsby, were claims adjusters for a company hired by State Farm to help handle homeowners claims generated by Hurricane Katrina.  Their suit claims that State Farm defrauded the federal government by wrongfully denying claims and causing the liability for the claims to shift to the federal government's flood insurance program. 

A federal judge ruled that the whistleblowers have "relevant knowledge" and will be able to testify in all further proceedings.
