  • Throughout the process of my suit handled by Robert Abell, he helped answer my questions, and explained legal issues that I did not fully understand initially.

Throughout the process of my suit handled by Robert Abell, he helped answer my questions, and explained legal issues that I did not fully understand initially. He helped me keep my goals realistic. It gave me some relief after years of worry about my situation. I am currently still in the process of using Mr. Abell for other case issues as well. I would recommend him.   Christine Snipes Morehead, Kentucky

  • I would personally recommend Robert Abell to my friends and anyone requiring an attorney.

Robert Abell represented me over ten (10) years, which required a large amount of time and effort.  Robert displayed tremendous talent and research, which was required in the ten (10) year case. I would personally recommend Robert Abell to my friends and anyone requiring an attorney. Earl F. McKinney Lexington, Kentucky

  • We recommend Robert to anyone needing an honest, independent legal opinion or action on any matter.  He cares about this city and its' citizens, the rule of law and the Constitution.  We are individuals, and he cares about us.

It is a pleasure to take a moment to remember how much help my husband and I received when we hired Robert Abell to handle our legal problem.  We bought a house at the dead end of a city street.  Across from use stood a piece of residentially zoned property, which it became immediately obvious was being used by a very large event-catering business for storage of their many vehicles and business trailers and such. For two years we complained to the city about the clear violation of their ordinances, with absolutely no result. Our neighbor applied for and received, over our vociferous protests, a zoning change subject to landscaping conditions. Two years after that, with no landscaping, and the same awful eyesore across a barbed wire fence facing us every single time we stepped out our front door, we decided we had no recourse but legal action. The first lawyer we spoke with told us that without our neighbors being willing to contribute money for a lawsuit (although the situation did not affect them), we didn't have enough for it to be worth it for him to take the case. Finally someone gave us Robert Abell's name and we made an appointment.  Robert saw our point immediately.  There was no hope for a large amount of money to be made, but I think he took our case because as a citizen he wanted to know why the protection of the law was denied to us. We sued the city, and the business. The business sued us for filing a frivolous lawsuit. They then put up a privacy fence across from our property. The lawsuit dragged on for years, with Robert meeting their every charge. The city finally settled and paid a small amount for their delinquency in enforcing the law.  Then the judge dismissed all the lawsuits on the basis that we had a privacy fence now, so all the past years didn't matter. Without Robert Abell we'd still be looking at barbed wire and Curly Fries vending trailers every time we left the house or looked out the window.  Robert saw what others felt was a small problem in its true proportion -- no matter the power and standing of one's opponent, everyone deserves the protection and respect of the law. Robert did not make enough money for the dogged determination he showed in pursuing our cases, nor did he get any publicity or recognition for all his work, from anyone but us. We recommend Robert to anyone needing an honest, independent legal opinion or action on any matter.  He cares about this city and its' citizens, the rule of law and the Constitution.  We are individuals, and he cares about us. • I needed a lawyer of the highest caliber and he met and exceeded my needs.

Over the past 3 years Robert Abell has represented me in litigation that involved several large corporations. I found him to be extremely knowledgeable, timely, and professional in his approach and handling of these affairs. The best way to define the relationship is "I needed him. I needed a lawyer of the highest caliber and he met and exceeded my needs."Tony MortonComplete ContractingStanton, Kentucky

  • Mr. Abell was firm, persistent and highly accurate on the facts. The result was that the other firm decided they'd better settle out of court rather than face the facts at a trial.

Mr. Abell was retained as my attorney in a case where I decided to sue a major financial institution and its puppets for violation of the Fair Debt Collection Act. In spite of the other side being represented by a big out-of-state law firm, he stood our ground despite the other side's threats. Mr. Abell was firm, persistent and highly accurate on the facts. The result was that the other firm decided they'd better settle out of court rather than face the facts at a trial. Additionally, Mr. Abell came to my attention from a friend at the local government agency where I was employed because of the reputation he garnered representing employees in labor disputes at the organization.  In an age where the legal profession has a rather poor reputation with the public I am proud to say Attorney Robert Abell is the exception. HE IS DEFINITELY ONE OF THE GOOD ONES. In the few cases where friends have asked advice on an attorney I don't hesitate to recommend Mr. Abell. In fact, he's the only one I'd recommend.
