$880,000 Wrongful Discharge Judgment Upheld by Appeals Court

A $880,000 judgment in an employee's favor in a wrongful discharge case was upheld recently by the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in Cincinnati.  The case is Morrison v. B. Braun Medical Company, No. 10-1548 (December 8, 2011).  Lynn Morrison, a medical sales rep, claimed that she was fired for refusing to violate "anti-kickback" laws in the course of her employment, and a jury agreed.
