$113,800 Verdict In Pregnancy Discrimination Suit

Withdrawal of a job offer after the candidate disclosed she was pregnant resulted in a $113,800 pregnancy discrimination verdict against Lucas Films, the company founded by Star Wars creator, George Lucas.  Julie Veronese claimed that her job offer was withdrawn after she told the company she was pregnant.  The jury's verdict awarded $93,800 and $20,000 on Veroneses's pregnancy discrimination claim.
