$2.5 Million Settlement In Race Discrimination Suit -- Kentucky Discrimination Lawyer

Black police officers have settled a race discrimination suit against the City of Baltimore for a payout of $2.5 million and a number of reform measures.  The officers claimed that they were disciplined more harshly than their white counterparts.  In addition to the money payment, the police department will hire an experienced outside consultant for a period of three years to monitor disciplinary activity.  The charging committee that considers disciplinary action wil include at least one black officer and at least one woman under terms of the agreement.
