$3.1 Million In Back Pay Ordered In Race Discrimination Suit - Kentucky Discrimination Lawyer

$3.1 million in back pay has been ordered by a federal judge in a race discrimination suit.  A judge found based on the evidence that the company discriminated against black workers in promotions and assignments.  The effect of this discrimination was to produce a pattern extending across many years in African-American shortfalls in promotions.  The employer, Lufkin Industries, was also ordered to stop channeling new black employees into the worst and least desirable assignments.
