Disability Discrimination Enforcement Stepped Up By EEOC -- Kentucky Disability Lawyer

Disability discrimination complaints filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) increased 10% in 2008 to its highest level in 14 years.  The rise in complaints has been accompanied by a spike in enforcement actions including lawsuits recently filed against KMart, Beverage Solutions, Inc., United Airlines, and a North Carolina hospital.

Discrimination based on a person's disability is prohibited by the Americans With Disabilities Act and the Kentucky Civil Rights Act.
