Female Broker Settles Sex Discrimination Suit Against Merrill Lynch

A female broker claimed in her sex discrimination suit against Merrill Lynch that the company steered wealthier clients toward male brokers and then, as a result, paid the male brokers higher retention bonuses based on their productivity.  The plaintiff, Jamie Goodman, had an excellent performance record that she claimed would have been better but for the discrimination.
