Financial Advisors Sue Over Sex Discrimination

Unequal pay and bonuses, unequal opportunities for professaional development and advancement and a different set of rules for female and male financial advisors underlie a sex discrimination lawsuit filed by three women financial advisors against Bank of America and Merrill Lynch.  The suit, which was filed in U.S. District Court in Brooklyn, seeks back pay, damages and class action status.

Here's the essence of both federal and Kentucky gender discrimination laws: "employees [have] the statutory right to compete on an equal basis without regard to gender for anything worth competing over."
