Panera Bread Sued for Race Discrimination In Hiring

A Panera Bread franchisee, Covelli Enterprises, in the Pittsburgh area has been sued for race discrimination in hiring.  The lawsuit comes on the heels of a related lawsuit by a manager that claims he was fired because he opposed the racist policies that the franchisee wanted followed.

Both federal and Kentucky state law prohibit race discrimination in hiring.  Likewise, both federal and Kentucky state law prohibit retaliation against an employee that opposes employment discriminatory practices such as race discrimination in hiring.
