Race Bias Suit Settles for $8.9 Million

Use of racial slurs, offensive graffiti, ethnic slurs, depiction of lynchings, regular assignment to less desirable jobs and a pattern of harsher discipline led to a $8.9 million settlement in a race discrimination case against Albertsons in Colorado.  The settlement will go to 168 present and former employees at Albertsons distribution center in Aurora, Colorado, who sued for race discrimination.
