Race Discrimination Suit Against State Government Certified As Class Action

 Race discrimination in the hiring and promotion process of Iowa state government was certified as a class action by a Iowa state court.  The suit alleges that the Iowa state government discriminated on the basis of race in its hiring and promotions as a pattern and practice going back to the mid-1990's.
