Shift supervisors for TJX Companies, the corporate parent of T.J. Maxx, Marshall's and other retail stores, have filed a class action lawsuit in Nevada claiming that they were misclassified as exempt from overtime in violation of the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and Nevada state law.  Other similar suits are pending against TJX in California, Texas and New York.

A job title and paid on a salary status does not mean that an employee is exempt from overtime pay requirements.  The misclassification of employees as exempt from overtime is a common violation of both the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and Kentucky state law.
