One issue in the Sergio Melgar case was that UK claimed, at least initially, that Mr. Melgar had left voluntarily his employment at UK. UK President Eli Capilouto confirmed in response to questioning by one of Melgar's lawyers, Robert Abell, that he had advised Melgar that his employment was being ended.
