University Settles Suit With Former Football Coach

Kansas State University has settled its ongoing lawsuit with former football coach Ron Prince.  Prince was let go late in the 2008 season after going 17-20 in three seasons. The suit regarded a "secret" $3.2 million deferred severance Prince negotiated with former K-State athletic director Bob Krause. The settlement accelerates payment of the severance to an extent that its value is arguably greater for Prince than the original deal. Prince also received $1.2 million as part of his original contract.
